This is a nice heavy glass crystal vase-- it is 8" tall and weighs 2 1/2 lbs. It has a large purple cased center portion (test tube shaped) and shows an amber reflection into the crystal portion. It is heavily faceted and polished.

It shows a heavily scratched bottom from years of use. To me, it looks like something from the 1950s, but could be later.

Any help on dating or identifying is greatly appreciated. No marks at all on the base.

I usually see these attributed to Mandruzzato:

I believe your vase is a 1960's/70's geometric cut vase by Mandruzzato, an Italian company based on the island of Murano. They were founded in 1956 and initially produced lighting fixtures. In the mid 60's and on they primarily produced decorative glass items such as this. This shape was made in a variety of color schemes.

Thanks to swfinluv1, welz and rose-- agree with your ID. It sure looks like Mandruzzato.

It really has some weight and shows quality throughout in the construction!

I have the same piece in a red inner with a sommerso layer of Vaseline/Uranium glass and then a thick clear exterior. They are nicely done pieces.
