Here is a couple of Carnival Glass Vases which I have just acquired from a charity shop. I spotted them last week, but thought they were rather large so left them, but they were still there today so they are now mine! I bought them as a pair, but one is about half an inch taller than the other, and the taller one is a bit narrower, which makes sense. don't know much else about them, ie age, maker. Hope someone here does. They are 10" and 10 1/2" tall. Base is 3" across.
Imperial Glass Co. #492 Ripple swung vase c1912
Sorry I can't enlighten you but just want to say they are beautiful!
Thank you Tallcakes, I can always rely on you for glass info. I cannot believe they are so old! They are in amazing condition. Were they made for a long time?
yes, the pattern was introduced c1912 but reissued for many years; those reissued after 1951 are more likely to have the Imperial Glass marks, as much of their glass was marked at that time.
I was reading about carnival glass and saw the same vase picture. Lovely.
