This is a beautiful piece, but I can't tell if its an original sketch or some kind of a copy.
I believe its rather "old", based on the color of the paper. It's 11x14.

      It's a print. Nice, though!

Thanks OlofZ. How can you tell? I read looking for matrix points or something else. The lithograph prints released in 1955 are much darker and some of the lines are thicker, plus those prints were done on a different kind of paper, kind of textured. So is this just an older, or different print?

I don't know the proper definition of the terminology but to me your image is a halftone print. You can clearly see that the image is made up of equally spaced dots, a technique that was developed in the 1800's and still used today, although digitally. Even the signature on your print is made up of these dots so not written by hand. Therefore it's a print and not an original. The actual original drawing could be much older than the print so difficult to tell the age. Lithographs in my definition are printed using stone slabs and do not generate these dots. They are normally hand signed with pen or pencil by the artist.

I saw the lithos from 1955 on the net know, didn't know you referred to this particular one. Sorry for being slow :) I thought you meant lithographs in general. So your question is wether this is one of the 1955 lithographs or some other print? No, its not a lithograph.
