My son and his friend found this bottle. There are no labels or marks on it other than on the bottom, where there is a series of numbers: 7 07-1, and along the edge on the bottom is the number 61. Next to that is a square with what looks like a capital G or a capital D. Any ideas?

Glenshaw Glass Co, 1961. They used a G in Square symbol, and usually put a two-digit date-code to the right of that.
As for the product, I'm not sure on this one. The style of bottle makes me think kitchen related as it's a bit late for the art-deco period, the colour like a kitchen product or pleasure drink, and the top more like a pleasure drink (i.e. beer or soft drink). So.... I don't know.
