    I have no idea about this.yellow painted roses ,about 9 inches tall I found it in a thrift store,not shiny, has gold trim on edge of lid and has 3 rose designs around it,milky looking glass

      Close items to your pretty glass dish are the products of Norleans Glass, Italy. If you look it up in Google. many items in very similar style will come up, like this candy dish:

      I can't find much about this particular company on the net and the manufacturer might be another company, but the link can be a starting point to your research.

      Hi Bonniesue , I'm of no help with your mystery , as I have a very similar piece with different floral decoration and have not been able to identify origin , age or maker. I like it very much , it is a very nice piece ; the frosted or satin glass lends to a soft feminine feel . Does the bottom base of yours have a pontil scar ?

      This style was also extensively made in Japan, and Norleans and other importers sourced from both countries.
      I agree this one is probably Italian (based on shape) and they were generally produced from glass factories around Florence.
