In April 1971 I bought the new praktica llc camera released in 1970 from camera house in cannon street in the city centre cost was £80. It had ttl metering by match needle to get correct exposure and interchangeable lenses. I took this photo of the new library under construction. It was opened in 1974 , demolished a few years ago. It was on a Saturday as I was trying the camera out on same day of purchase.

Thanks valentin097 for comment, I liked the old library I used to go up on a Saturday morning when shopping in town and return books . I used to get books out on photography , the magazine room I used to read the different magazines at the same time. The new library is big and takes longer to find books and get around. There is a photo of me outside the old library taken on Saturday June 26th 1976 just before my 29th birthday on you tube go to you tube and type in 1976 Birmingham central lending library.
It's always out with the old, in with the new! Whenever I see buildings or structures that I worked on, being torn down, I get a little sad, and feel old! Oh Well! :^) Time goes by!
