This golden pendant is an exemple of finding something in a unexpecting place.
Last august I was at a childrens flea market. The children sold lots of toys, puzzles, boardgames and childrens clothes. This pendant was in a box with small toys. Luckily the mother was there and she named a price of € 1,00. (Otherwise I would have felt guilty).
It's heavy (6 gram) and marked for 14k gold. I can not read the other mark and I don't know how old this is.
Have you ever found something in a strange/unexpected place?
That's beautiful!! Is the 585 inside an eikenblad?
I've found quite a number of beautiful jewelry items in strange/unexpected places over the years, mostly 585 & 750 gold mixed among gold color costume jewelry or between broken jewelry that had been tossed into a bowl or basket.
Looks to be mid-century, as the bale has a more modern look to it.
Move over Bonnie - there appears to be a trainee Jewellery Jedi in house!
Wonderful find!
It is really beautiful..love it!!!
Hel1, I keep coming back to look at this !!! It really seems to remind me of Aesthetic Period (1885-1901) jewellery.......I may be barking up the wrong tree......but there is just something about it....I love it!
Thank you all for the love. Thank racer4four for the compliment
but I'm just a novice. Collect only for 5 years.
I think Tassie is right, it looks Victorian! Great find!
