World War Two era Military Police helmet MP

Here's a US MP's helmet liner, as used by the US Army Military Police

this is an early war pattern high pressure liner with the phosphate finish steel A washers with HBT cotton webbing, the leather headband is also from the same time period with OD painted metal clips that snap into the webbing to hold it in place.

The helmet liner has been painted white with the letter "MP" painted in bold black lettering for the Military Police use, just like the soldier shown in the photo.
