A Victorian oil painting by Hermann Garman Schanche.
I believe it was painted 1860 circa.
He was a German artist that travelled to Norway.
Interesting painting of typical Norwegian fiord with turf clad house, women fixing nets and children running for cover from the impending storm. Also a strange rock formation on the hillside.
Would love to know the exact location of this painting if anybody recognises it.
