McCoyNelson
(219 items)
This is an early piece made by the J.W McCoy Pottery plant in 1905. After two years of rebuilding from a devastating fire in 1903, production increased dramatically, with new equipment and such.
Loy-Nel-Art is named after JW's 3 sons: Lloyd, Nelson, and Arthur. All Loy-Nel-Art pieces are hand painted in various colors and ALWAYS feature a flower as the main detail. Many potteries made similar items, but JW wanted to distinguish his from others at a glance by adding a splash of green in the front and a splash of orange in the back.
The left photo shows the stamped mark found on most of these pieces.
