Looking for some information on this necklace, marcasite and black onyx, 17 inch. Would like to know, thought maybe the heart on the underside of the clasp has some significance. Thanks
Even though the photo doesn't show , it is quite sparkly, although does need cleaning .
This is probably mid-century. Marcasite is made from iron pyrite and will rust when in contact with liquids. You can clean the underside with a silver polish cloth. Don't know if the heart cut out means anything in particular.
