I am posting this for loveyardsales with an unsolved mystery who posted pictures of a silver cup two years ago with markings of Henry Turner and queries of who he was and where he lived.
Today, I found this broken mug on a Victorian tip where I regularly go looking for bits of history. This is the first bit of pottery I have found with his name on but it seems he had premises in Praed Street, Paddington, London. The mug stood at 3 and a quarter inches high. Praed Street is still there.
The mug was in the soil waste below a recently dug rabbit hole. I couldn't find any other bits of the mug. It bears an emblem to celebrate Queen Victoria; VR - Victoria Regina.
I don't know if he was a manuafacturer or just a retailer who had things made for sale.

Thank you for this Efesgirl. I found the mug in a tip near Ilkley, West Yorkshire, where I live.
