This Victorian era vase has swirling stripes in pink & pale yellow green with a thin white stripe in between. There is a very weak UV response from the yellow green stripes suggesting a small uranium content. The crimped top is pulled down to the sides of the vase in a fan like form, & the vase also has a clear applied footed base. It measures 14 cm tall, 12 cm wide across the top rim & 9 cm across the base. I think this vase is English in origin. I have a pink cased Peloton vase with the same distinctive crimped fan top, & I also recall seeing a pulled loop pattern vase with the same top in the Glass Gallery at the V&A museum in a display of British made glass.
True victoriana......in lovely colours!
Many thanks sklo42!
It looks like a sea creature, very nice.
I, too, own this exact little beauty. I found it in an antique shop in Southern California where I was living at the time. I was pretty amazed to see yours! :)
BEAUTIFUL-- thanks for sharing!

Thanks also, franny1010101, it's nice to think this vase has a twin out there! Mine came from eBay UK.
