Custom Antique Secretary? Cabinet/Desk?

this is an antique secretary, but i cannot identify it as a secretary.

it's one piece, but looks like 2 separate pieces [they are joined, it is one piece]. this is how we received it.

the gold-inlay leather top piece slides out to reveal a compartment underneath.

it's solid, carved and etched wood throughout with solid brass knobs and handles.

single drawer lower desk part.

2 drawer, 4 shelf upper cabinet/vanity part has a 2-door cabinet, each with gold, etched wood framed mirrors on each door.

please help, if you can.
