This was probably for powder and a comb i guess or maybe gel? i like tortoise shell stuff, so i thought this was pretty cool. i paid like $2.50 for it at Goodwill the other day. on the base, in very tiny letters, it says 'Shell, Lyra Lin, Du Barry' or something close to that.

I love this! It's Pyralin. The ones listed on eBay are all French Ivory celluloid. Nothing found like your set.
