    Hi,

i was hoping you could help, I bought these 5 (i think there was originally 6) Vaseline glass plates and was wondering if you could tell me anything about them? there doesn't seem to be any marks on the bottom. they have a gold trim around the edge. They are small about 6 inches.

My mother had American Sweetheart cake plates, sherbets, and the cake serving plate. You could buy a specific kind of laundry soap and got "coupons" in the box. With the coupons you could buy things (much like you could do with green stamps). The American Sweetheart dishes were "purchase" this way. It came in all the typical dinner ware pieces: dinner plate, cups & saucers, etc. as well as the pieces I mentioned my mother had. It also came in pink (which my sister has collected). I especially like the white because if you hold it up to the light, you will see a gold glow through it. Pieces are hard to find because, as you can see by the pieces you have, it was a very delicate glass.
