It has been a while since I have posted here. Health issues really put a damper on collecting. Today I got out and found this piece. It is a small lidded compote that stands about 6 inches tall. It is super plain, which I like, it only has a couple of bands on the pedestal and one on the very top. I was surprised to find this with the lid and with no damage at all save for some scratches.
Anyone know who may have made this piece?
these plain patterns can be some the most difficult but I did happen to run across this one. It is Riverside Glass Works #75 c1880s from one of their old catalogs.
Sweet compote, great find.
Thanks guys, and as always, thanks for that ID Tallcakes!
