I would love to find the correct parts to make this the way it was as close to original as possible, but I have no idea what it looked like originally. Maybe it was a chandelier style or maybe it had a table stand? I can not find one other oil lamp even close to this size or shape. :)
It was found in the attic & has a beautiful detailed etching.

I went to an antique glass show Sat. and 1 of the dealers right away said that this piece is not an oil lamp but an electric water lamp. It was not converted into an electric water lamp , he said they were actually made for water because it was thought it looked nice in the font. So my piece here is an electric water lamp font. However, I can not find 1 single item online that is referred to as an electric water lamp. Maybe this is very rare & the water lamps were very short lived. Would love to hear your knowledgeable comments. Gave you ever heard of an electric water lamp? :)
