Ballantine Ale Lighted Sign

This is a large, heavy BALLANTINE ALE BEER sign I inherited from my grandfather. He had it displayed above his personal bar. It now hangs in my father's garage for safe keeping while I build a bar in my home (will be done in time for the Super Bowl). I am curious if anyone has seen a sign like this and whether they can tell me anymore about it. I assume its from the 50s/60s. I have googled it and found many other Ballantine signs but I have not found one that matches this. It still lights up. I would never think of getting rid of it but I am interested in learning more about it. Metal construction with a glass front.
