MALKEY
(429 items)
Hi we have here a Fritz Heckert iridescent glass vase with translucent yellow to main body with green banding plus uranium glass glows with UV light
tricorn top
polished pontil with strange signature i can't make out but has numbers below signature 10387
height 4 1/2 inches width 4 inches
Looks like it says AURENE, but that would indicate Steuben. Did heckert call any of their glass aurene?
Yes Bob that's the place i acquired the piece from and thankin you kindly my friend for the love
No problem Malkey... possibly some "enterprising" American who could not ID the vase thought to "enhance" the value by passing it off as Steuben. I've seen Rindskopf with Loetz markings, Loetz with Tiffany markings, etc. Very cool vase! I think you are right on with the Heckert attribution.
Thanks Bob, your post most informative my friend
Very grateful for the love CaperKid aura Kevin

I have seen other Steuben glass signed Aurene with the "a" that looks like a "q". I think this is Steuben as well. Nice!
