Hello everyone.
I really love this pansy pendant on a leaf brooch. As you can see the leaf is missing some enamel......this week I bit the bullet, found some green nail polish and had a go at fixing it.
I am quite pleased with the result for my first go at this......just wish I had better eyesight!!
I am thinking these are the Edwardian colours of purple, green and white.....which are also the Suffragette colours, as well as the pansy being the symbol for remembrance. I love all these things. Feel free to correct me on this as it is really just guessing!!
Hallmarked for Sterling Silver with the old Stg Sil on the back of the brooch as well as on the back of the pendant with the maker AJP by the look of it.
Possibly made in Australia or New Zealand.
Hope you like this one .......all comments welcome, thanks, Judy.
An early 20th century brooch - really nice! The green polish is pretty much the same color! One more coat should do it. Clip the pin onto a towel, then you can use a magnifying glass while you work on it.
:-)))
Oh great, thanks Bonnie! What a good idea......can't half tell I haven't done it before lol!! I did remember to use a toothpick though.......
Will have another go over the weekend.
Appreciate the help thanks!!:-))
Beautiful!! And such a nice repair job you did Judy!! Give PeeJay a hug for me!
Thank you Scott, I was pretty happy with my first try!........PeeJay loves hugs, so I will, thanks.......She is such a good girl, everyone loves her!
Great "TassieDevilization", Judy! This beautiful brooch needed some :-)
Well done!
Big hugs to Peejay too!
My devil twins have been spayed at same time on Monday, they have to be separated for 10 days... I'm exhausted, having to keep an eye on both! Benny already crushed 2 cones !
Thank you Pascale, that is a wonderful comment coming from you with your skills!
PeeJay sends hugs back to you, thank you!
Oh my......you are having a time of it I'm sure with the twins!!! You will be totally exhausted you poor thing, I hope the rest of the 10 days goes quickly for you!! I guess you are hoping the operation will calm them down a bit for you.......does that actually work??? You might have to give yourself a little holiday soon! :-))
Lol, I wasn't hoping it would calm them (impossible!), only not having pups and later medical issues! (My old Tango died of testicular cancer... and females are protected against mammary tumors) :-)
That's a beautiful brooch, Judy! And is this your first hands-on-Kyratization-TM? Well the bullet has not been bitten in vain! Well done!
Neat little repair to a lovely old brooch. Brave, Judy, good for you! :)
Pascale lol....shows you how much I know about dogs.....glad PeeJay was done before we got her!
Thanks Bijou, yes first time.....figured if it looked awful I could always remove the nail polish and start again.....or I could just separate the brooch from the pansy and have a pendant to wear!!
Thank you for the lovely comment...I do sincerely appreciate that!!

The center of the pansy could use a tiny pearl as a final touch. Very nice!
