    This is a very nicely Carved Dixon Ivory Dog Head whistle with glass eyes and it has G.Blaylock Carlisle 1853 inscribed underneath.

      ironically most whistle collectors go first for everything but the sound ! It seams to be the last requirement after feel, heaviness, material, size, use .... weird huh ??
