I'm trying to find any information about the cup. It belonged to my husbands grandmother and was given to me.

Behind the piece you are asking about, I can see part of a kneeling girl. This looks very interesting indeed, may I ask you to take it out and put it in the forefront of a photo, on its own, in natural light. I would really like to see it from some different angles. Do you know if it's metal or some other material?

      Thank you very, very much.

I'm sorry I can't tell you much about the vase/cup, apart from it's not stamped or marked on the bottom, so difficult to say if it's Nippon or not. Here's a CW article about Nippon, and some eBay auction examples.
