Good day everyone,
Pictured above is a Mickey Mouse am transistor radio from the 1980's. This radio was manufactured in Hong Kong and distributed by Concept 2000 with the Walt Disney Company. The volume and tuning are controlled by turning the ears It is not complete as it is missing the antenna and Mickey earphones. Runs on a 9 volt battery. My daughter loved it and packed it around the house with her. Good memory!!
Very Cool, I'm pretty sure I have one somewhere around here, still inbox and the earbud. I was thinking it was earlier, like 1970 something, now I need to findit and see...LOL
Yours could be an earlier version from the 1970's Kerry:) My daughter was born in the 1980's and this is when I bought it. Disney probably has a few different models of it.
How very cool this is!! I'm sure your daughter appreciates the fact that you still have this.
My daughter knows I am keeping it to remind me of when she was younger Scotty:) She did keep her battery operated Mickey Mouse plastic train set. This she always wanted. I will pass her radio onto my grandson who will be arriving in 2 or 3 weeks. Even though it only plays am channels I'm hoping he will enjoy the Mickey face:))
Excellent.mget your grandson into collecting early ha ha. This is great.
Hi Wanderlessfairy,
It worked on my son got him into collecting at a young age. Now I can start all over again with my grandson. It will keep me interested also:) Thank you so much for your kind comment!!
