      I believe that this is someone's idea of a "sax" or Viking blade from the early middle ages . They were from about one to three feet long. Known examples are excavated relics so the design is subject to a certain amount of interpretation. It's definitely modern and I don't know what the holes in the blade are supposed to be for.

      The wholes aren't all the way through they are only about 1/8 of an inch deep on each side. And the blade is 12" long. I figured it was a replica I was just curious as to a replica of what. Thanks so much
