Welz glass trophy vase. I'm not sure if this would be considered a mini vase or not, stands 5" in height. Has something black in the glass, I guess from when it was made. The handles react under a black light. I wish the base was the same colour as the body, to me it just doesn't look right.
Nice find....
Try soaking the inside of the vase with soap and warm water. What you are seeing is dirt on the interior from use. You can also use denture cleaning tablets in the water to try to clean it. You may have to brak the denture tablets up to get them through the hole in the stem to the base. After soaking it you can pout rock salt in the vase bottom , add a little water and shake it to act as an abrasive..... It may take a few tries to get it out, and some of it just might not clean up.
I love these yellow/white spatter pieces with green accents. The flared top on this shape is new too, at least to me.
The darker base may be dirt which will respond to repeated soaking. Alternatively it may be that light penetrates the open globe top but doesn't reach the base. Image four shows that the centre of the base is lighter.
Old glass often needs tlc, but well worth it!
thanks for the love folks!
Thanks welzebub and sklo42, I'll give this a couple of good soaks and see what happens~
Love it!!

Nice shape! I love the green handles, too - thanks for sharing it! :) Sometimes when I can't get to the bottom of a dirty vase, I add small dried beans or split peas to soapy water and swirl them around on the bottom to help clean it out...
Thank-you Scottvez!
Thank-you for the great cleaning tip Michelleboo7, I'll give that a try!
Love the yellow and green combo!..:-)
Great find Courtenay! I love the subdued mello-yello, and the green handles provide a perfect contrast for the vase!
