Not long after I purchased the preceding vase in pink, I found this blue example on eBay. With virtually the same characteristics, is most likely that it is by the same maker as the pink one. Made from two layers of cased glass, blue over white, & satin finished, it measures 14.6 cm tall, 6 cm across the jack in the pulpit top rim, & 4 cm across the base.
Now, I am quite keen to find this vase in other colours! Besides pink & blue, Victorian satin glass is usually seen in yellow, peach/pale orange & occasionally green. Mauve would look particularly attractive with this shape, I think.
Thanks so much, nutsabotas6!
