This 6in. embroidered uniform patch came from the estate of a veteran who served with the 24th Infantry Division during the Korean War.
I believe that this design was an unapproved emblem of either the 24th Aviation or 24th Reconnaissance Companies, but I need confirmation.
I would be most grateful to hear from anyone who can shed some light on this particular patch design, and thanks.

Good spotting!
I have several period photos owned by the same veteran who originally owned this patch which are indeed marked and identify the aircraft depicted in this patch as an 'L-19', aka Bird Dog.
The L-19 replaced the Army's WWII era L-4 and L-5 aircraft following tests in 1949, and saw service during the Korean War for medical evacuation, reconnaissance and liaison duties, etc.
