    Bought this today all I can see is 1890 made in England iron stone not sure if it means was made in 1890??any info would be grateful:)

      Probably, is it a chamber pot? Can’t tell what size it is, but there was probably a matching pitcher -a set made before indoor plumbing was common

      Hi,

      IMHO these two pieces are fairly new. An 1890 bowl such as yours would show signs of wear, fading and chips in the glaze while yours is bright and the decoration is crisp.

      The mark or stamp on the bottom is not old, and doesn't contain any information to date it to 1890.
