    Know nothing about it other than its solid wood and absolutely gorgeous. The chair has a plank back that is carved in what I think is french. It has the coat of arms and family crest with what looks a beenie hat at the top with a feather coming out of the hat. Lots of swirls in the carving, the plank is beveled. Looks alot like the work of Fred Ege lots of definition to the carving.

      Fred Ege was really not even known to Keno until she brought her chair in. There must have been many furniture makers who made these type of chairs based on all the examples seen just on this forum. Usually called or termed under Renaissance Revival side or hall chairs. A lot of them have the face of the North Wind and are called North Wind chairs. A beautiful chair.
