I stole the name for this vase from Orrefors, but it applies well.
Kagami are renowned for their crystal and this vase shows their cutting ability with it's circular grinds that magnify the circles on the other side.
Kagami still make cut crystal today and it is quite high end, often made as special orders for The Emporer or Ambassadorial residences. Much of their output these days is, however, Edo Kiriko, and of exceptional skill, beauty and quality.
I believe this vase dates from around 1960, and it would have been hand, not machine, cut.
