This is a very unusual pair of pliers they seem to be of stamped metal construction as opposed to solid metal.
This was made by Lodi Tools sometime after 1900. It has two patent dates, 1984 and 1900. I think it is a pretty good call that these are over 100 years old.
A neat feature of these pliers are the wire cutters that are on the outside edges of this piece. Normal pliers have the wire cutter just behind the gripping sections of the pliers. With this piece they are on the outside edges. There is one on either side. Apparently this design has gone extinct.
Being a man with a LOT of tools, I've never seen a set of pliers like these until now. Very neat find!
