Spiritual! Jesus beacons an Angel and and two small children to their First Holy Communion. St. Johns Church Rapid City,Illinois Oct 1st, 1922.--E.L.Leonard, Pastor. The child needing to be confirmed was Julia Ellingsworth.
. So if this is not a Priest, but a Pastor, Is this an Evangelical Presbyterian Church? ( Or?) I am just struck by the graphics--Back label, by a Framer at a Wallpaper Store in Moline, Illinois, so must be close to Rapid City ,IL. (I am from Illinois and never knew of Rapid City.)
The size is 14 X 10 and this is the original wood frame made to order to fit the beautiful confirmation announcement.(Softly glowing behind is Jesus for illumination of the scene of confirmation.) It is for the beautiful old sentiment that I love it From an Estate of someone recently passed over, on a wall it had hung for many, many decades--Has such a sweet ambiance about it. I just feel prayers were said over this document for ages, possibly a little faded over the 95 years.--but not the emotional reverence!
Definitely Catholic. Wonderful First Holy Communion remembrance!
Thanks so much
!
I have contacted St. John's Church in Rapid City,Illinois with an email to the Pastor and direction to my offerings here, and the document-- for any info he might have of family survivors.
This beautiful item was in Value Village. Now it is on my bedroom wall!
