If I scaled it right, it's a size 3/0s 15-jewel Talis Trench-style half-hunter wrist-watch with hinged back case that once featured glowing radium hands and numbers.

It's in .935 silver, so better than sterling, with its original wrist-strap (upon which is clearly shown where the wearer had it tightened to, which fits my wrist perfectly there as well) and is a standard Swiss-made watch many WW1 soldiers would buy or be given as a gift from family/friends before they entered the war.

Sadly the watch does not run but a couple seconds, and the crystal is cracked (as a warning to purchasing online, I have edited out the damage in all but one photo, in which you will see that photos one and two are identical, save for the fact that I edited out the damage).

I would like to have it put back into service, but the radiation it emits is higher than background levels, and as such it would need its face and hands reworked with a safer paint. Anyone know of a cheap American watch-repairer who can do this as well as repairing the watch?

I think I narrowed down the problem to the escape wheel. The balance turns freely. The spring is good. As such, the rollers should be good. But the escape wheel struggles to turn and refuses to turn fully. Damaged pinion, perhaps?
