My sister finally made her monthly trip from New Jersey this past weekend to bring her haul of treasures. We both have booths at a local antique mall that I manage since she can't be there all the time. While I favor the thrifts, my sister is an auction and estate sale person. So we get a nice mix of items. She always brings me a gift and she knows I love art pottery especially Roseville. This months prize is this beautiful "Bittersweet" jardinere # 802-8. This design was done in the waning years as by 1953 Roseville was no more. I have a pedestal in the brown/green White Rose pattern but this looks quite nice on it since the colors are neutral. Still on the hunt for the correct one, but this beauty will do nicely in the mean time. Thanks Sis ! -Mike-

So textural! I love the subtle colours on this Mike. Thanks Sis!

Thanks Karen ... it does have a nice pebbled texture to the background. This is a rather late piece as Roseville created their last designs in 1953 and sold to the Mosiac Tile Co. the following year.

Thanks Thomas..it's been fun so far. I'll be coming up on a year in April, while my sister is a newbie since November...lol . :)

Thanks Rick....I love it too. It's the largest piece in my collection beside the "wild rose" pedestal. While they don't match I still like them together. :)
