The shade probably does not belong to this lamp. Without marks impossible to identify the maker. To identify there would have to be a foundry mark. For the shade to work you can find some bulbs much smaller for it to cover the bulb at the least. The whole fitting should be covered. It looks possibly to be Austrian, beautiful !
Thanks for the reply. Looking at the shade the clips inside fit a bigger style bulb .
I would say you are right about shade.
No foundry marks to be found, Green paint letters look like M C ,should they mean anything?
The figurine appears to be a thin layering of metal and spread open a couple spots as pictured.
I do not know what the paint letters mean, unless ownership. Usually in 98 % of cases, the old statues never had bases affixed. Usually you can see right into the hollow molding of a statue. The 4th photo looks to be damage. Not sure why I see what I do, the damage should be through solid metal. I thought the shade must have had that bulb fitter. There are other ways to find a good fit for a shade or another type of metal shade. I know about constructing or repairing my shades and I go to a good lamp store with parts, some have knowledgeable people who may help with a shade also in the store. Also some repair people are clumsy and may break your lamp. The comment of yours " thin layering of metal " rather bothers me. The construction is just not something they did in the last century so this may be some fabrication of the later 20th century. As I cannot see in person, I cannot seem to be of much help. Also to note is the cord looks to be modern.
