I was really happy to get this one until I realised how inaccurate it is. In fact, I've never seen such an inaccurate clock. It runs on modern 60-cycle 120-volt AC, but it is only running at half-speed.

It's a great cathedral-style art-deco synchronous alarm clock, and I'd love to have it reworked, but the 'pros' would charge $200 from my door to theirs and back, which is a quite high.

After my last problem with an antique electric clock, I don't wish to work on it myself. Anyone know of someone who works on these for a reasonable price?

Looks very clean inside before I looked I thought that may be the problem.
Never used them so I don't know how good they are and have no idea what they charge however Jacks Clocks is somewhat in your hood.

The insides look good from what I can see, albeit the motor may be damaged or maybe some teeth chipped on the gears.
Sadly it does not appear they work on electric clocks. Few do anymore, save for making it battery-operated (something I desire to avoid.)
I'm willing to mail it out and have emailed a few places for further information, but everyone wants a higher sum than the clock is worth.

I was thinking the same thing, it looks so clean inside! That's a really nice clock and I'm with you, I wouldn't touch it. Ya know, with all those gears and whatever they'd have to do, $200.00 really does seem fair as you would definitely have to know what you're doing and it's probably so much work. I hope you can find a lower price, but make sure a lower price doesn't mean less quality work...Beautiful clock!
