I would like to find out what I have here. Or if it's worth anything. Some say it's a side table, some say an ashtray. Does anybody have any info you can give me. The little tulips are lights.
I'd like to know if it's worth restoring.

Its a later 50's to 60's version of a twin light ashtray stand or table. They came out with an all chrome version in 46-7 just after the war and in canada they were made in the same time as the airplane ashtray stand or table. They had slag glass shades at the time and america also made the twin light ashtray table or stand in later 40's. Your mystery is no longer one. I used to sell dozens of the airplane ashtray stands in the mid 80's and also the twin light ashtray stands here in Canada.

You never said whether you think it's worth restoring ?
    4. PhilDMorris PhilDMorris, 8 years ago
That is up to you, if you like it, yes. As for an investment I think it may cost too much to chome the parts if you are selling but I am not familiar with chrome pricing in your area.

I usually have to send my chroming out of town, so it gets expensive here in Canada.

      I'm in Ontario Canada.
Do you happen to know what kind of bulb would go in the lights.
    7. PhilDMorris PhilDMorris, 8 years ago
Yes maybe, what is the width of opening ??

Send me an email - info on my page. I can photo a pic of bulb with dimensions. I think I know of 2 but would have to be longer as it would be too hard to get your fingers in there I imagine.
