I found this nice Vintage pair of earring on Friday at the thrift store, 5 individual piece are attached together by a small ring, very ingenious and for sure very pretty set i believe, very bright little earring with a total of 19 diamond shape crystal stone, 1 big red and a natural green stone complete the earring,
I will love to hear some comment on this pair, deeply appreciated in advance.
They are 1.75 long by .50 inch wide.
Many Thanks Everyone for Viewing.
Alan
Wow! I've never, ever seen earrings like that pair. They're gorgeous. I'll have to look further into them - maybe I'll find some info.
I agree with Bonnie Alan...a really beautiful and interesting design for sure. :)
I felt in love
I've never seen earring backs like that. Pretty earrings.
Alan, I am not sure but I see some similarities between your earrings and mine: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/163964-indian-costume-jewelry-earrings-vint
I believe, although the design is different, the construction is very similar. You cannot see the back of mine, but it is almost the same:)
I believe you may have indian bridal jewerly here. Most pieces are handed down from one to another. Many pieces are made for the bride and given as gifts. The construction and design are similar to other pieces that I seen that dated back to the 1960s. Red is a traditional color of the bride's wedding sari. If not a bridal piece, it could be a wedding party gift piece.
So very beautiful....
I think these earrings fall into the same category. I see again similarities in the construction: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/164211-vintage-costume-earrings-made-in-india
