    I received this as a gift when I was a teenager. I have no clue what it is, where it is from (though I presume Luxembourg), or who made it. I'm guessing it is a souvenir of some sort. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone could tell me what it is!

      By the way, we use an old house for storage and my couch isn't that dirty. LOL

      My suggestion would be... if your gonna be taking pictures find a nice spot outside and have a small table to take pictures of your items... the outside is always best!
      btw really sweet piece!

      Just guessing here, but could this be a butter keeper for the table? put ice and water in the bottom below the 'saddle' butter pats in the 'saddle' and top to keep it all cool ???

      That's a wonderful suggestion! I would have never even thought of that one. It could very well be a butter keeper.
