Here is a bud vase by Rindskopf. It stands about 8.5" tall and is about 4" in diameter at the base. The shape is frequently described as organic, with a wide base that tapers inward, then back out into a bulbous top. It also features a twist in the lower third. The actual opening is only about half an inch or a bit more. The décor is the teal base glass marbleized with a potpourri of colors. It may have been made with various leftovers as an end of day piece. Overall there is the typical metallic oxide surface iridescence commonly found in most Rindskopf art glass. There are a few trapped air bubbles that have not broken through the surface of the glass. c. 1900 +/-
Hi Bob smashing wide striations on this one i have a pair similar i will pop it back up for comparison my friend
Thanks Malkey! I remember your post. These come in sizes from 6"-12". Somehow (I can't fathom why) these remind me of the illustrations in Aristophanes' Lysistrata by Aubrey Beardsley (from the same art nouveau era) ;-P
