    This is a cased tintype, that is CDV sized, (1/8th plate)
    of two Union cavalry officers, both of which have their
    sabers with them, and they also have their spurs on their feet!
    This size with the case is not too often seen. The most common
    size to locate is the 1/6th plate size case.
    CA 1862.
