Watercolor signed Bosslet 1980
Another piece a found at the GW.
1st & last photo was taken once plastic removed.
Hand written price on back $350.00 ( which someone scratched over).
Find it very interesting that none of the ladies have facial features .....wonder why? Intriguing...
Another piece that will need to be framed.
Any suggestions on color I should frame this piece in???? Help a girl out with some suggestions ;)
And no clue on this "Bosslet" artist.
I could only find an Eberhard Bosslet, a German artist. Maybe it's a relative, as I did not find anything in his artwork resembling your watercolor.
You can send a photo here and ask:

Bonnie I also found him during research. I may just send out an email.
Beautiful artwork !~
At least somebody else has a Boslett too.

Could it be the father of Eberhard Bosslet: Gerd Bosslet?

I looked through that site while researching and saw that Gerd Bosslet had a painting with "a couple" sitting on a bench that also had no facial features. But his signature is "G. Bosslet" on most of those paintings.
I will send a message and see if I get a response form there.
Someone collected watercolors because I found 3 paintings in 2 days there. But don't understand why they would never have them framed....strange.
This isn't by Gerd or Eberhard. Research shall continue.....
love the piece melaniej
just fabilus in many ways
The artist's name is Elisabeth Bosslet. She was the cousin of a German neighbor of mine about 40 years ago when I was a kid. I don't remember meeting her, but she was in town (Charleston, SC) for the Spoleto festival and was showing/selling her works. While she was in town, she painted a watercolor picture of my cat at the time and I still have it. This was in 1981. I'm new to the site and not sure how to post a pic in the comments. If possible, I'll post it later. Hope this clears up this mystery!
