A Belleek Shell Sweet Dish with a nice yellow luster (cob) handle. This has Belleek Pottery's 3rd mark (black) dating it from 1926 to 1946.

I've also seen these with a pink tint on the handle, which had to have been quite popular since many items appear with a pink tint.

This is the butter plate in the Tridacna pattern according to Richard Degenhardt's Belleek books. It's for pats or curls of butter when you're serving afternoon tea with something like scones you might want to butter (something you don't think you need until you realize it's exactly what you need).

In the sixth and seventh mark period the molds on the Tridacna tea cups were pretty shot and without their old detail, and the saucer mold must have been completely shot, because they took the mold for this exact piece and suddenly for the first time the saucer for Tridacna had the relief pattern on the top side and was smooth on the underside (before this it was the reverse, as if they had simply flattened the cup).

The new saucer was also very crisp compared to the cup.

When Belleek reissued the Tridacna cup in the early 2000s they used this revised mold again (and erroneously called it the "Tradacna" pattern, but that's Belleek for you, a company that sold the "Octagon Flower Pot" for over 130 years before they realized it was actually in the shape of a hexagon). :)

@upscalebohemian lol on the "Octagon" flower pot - always bugs me when I see it in my curio - I get over it by saying they counted the top and bottom (though technically there is no top) :)
