I can into possession of a old metal plate/platter while living in Germany. I am interested in learning more about it. It measures nearly 9" long and almost 7" wide. Around the rim is a raised scene depicting deer (male and female) in several different poses along with trees. There are also nude reclining human figures with a bird overhead on two of its sides . On the base on the item is a marking that includes the letters S W H (or it could be H M S depending on which was you are holding the plate because there is no way to indicate which way is up) in what appears to be a gear-looking symbol. I have no idea how old the plate is but it seems to be 19th Century. It is made of a heavy metal which I believe is iron (I tested it and it is magnetic). Any information about it would be appreciated. I have attempted to look up the mark on the bottom but have not had any luck finding anything. It would also be nice to have an idea of the age of this piece. Thanks!
