I got these darling vintage snoopys from an estate sale. They are plaster/ceramic piggy banks and feature Snoopy's vintage look with the longer, narrower head. I don't know much about them (age, value, etc) , but I love Snoopy!
I have somthing like that from my mom. But its not a bank its a cermaic Snoopy and with Linus, Lucy Charile Brown and Linus little sister.. but they were made by my aunt, like back in the 60's or early 70's. However the Snoopy I have is the same shape, as yours.
Ok here IS WHAT I KNOW OF THIS ITEM. BACK OIN THE LATE SIXTIES EARLY 70
'S WHEN I WAS WITH THE CARNIVAL WE STOCKED THIS AS A PRIZE FOR A GAME THEY PLAYED. WE HAD PLASTIC AND CERAMIC ONES THE PLASTIC ONES WE GAVE OUT AS A LESSER PRIZE .
I have Snoopy and Lucy same shape as your's but, No slit in back for coins..hmmm On bottom it is marked C. G. 69 . I was thinking ...uh oh .. that maybe they were done at a learn to make ceramics shop. There use to be a lot of those around where you could take classes and socialize. Just a thought MichellerduBois
