I was given this for free and wondering if anyone knows what style this is and or manufacturer? I can see some letters or numbers on the wood but they are not ledgible.
I appreciate any insight you may have. Thanks for looking!
Too many manufacturers made furniture, hundreds even in Canada, most all disappeared without leaving anything but the furniture, no records, no papers so it becomes impossible to guess unless you find another that may have a label left on it. If you live in a big city, ( you didn't say where you found or live) you could try your local history room in your library where they may have paper records,ads, postcards etc from some of the furniture makers. But then there is always the likely fact that furniture moves around a lot.
