I purchased this set at an estate sale this weekend here in Dallas - it was kept in pristine condition by an elderly couple (95+ y/o).
I wanted to know if anyone thought this looked familiar or could tell what kind of wood it appeared to be. It looks teak to me.
It had no markings - it came with 6 chairs (5 armless, 1 captains).
It has a leaf.
It as very well cared for.
It has wooden buttons on the top back of the chairs.
That is stunning!! What a find!! Any markings on the underneath of the chairs? Table ?
Was there a leaf with it at all? Hope you got it, or check with the people to see if it was stored somewhere else in the home
Thank you!
Yes, I did make sure that the leaf was there and it was in great condition, as well.
No markings that I could find - that is why I feel like it was custom. There are numbers in marker underneath the table (or like a chalk) - it seems like it would be an order number?
I just wish I could figure a bit more about it - the owners are not available for inquiries.
