It's not signed, so I'm sure it's hopeless to try and ID it. Seems to have a heavily polished pontil though.

Usually I don't put pieces into the photo when they are not meant to be part of the focus, but I added a couple Depression Glass saucers to add flare to this thrift store find.

Some kind of swirled milky glass. Bits of black are specked in accidentally-- not glass, but materials that did not melt as they were impurities (in the bottle world, we call those pot stones) in the mix.

I think this was made by L.E. Smith Glass. I'm not sure of the exact color, but I do see some listings that reference this as "bittersweet orange."

I'm surprised it could even be speculated. I thought it was just a generic piece. Thank you, Time Traveller.

ditto; Smith's 'Simplicity' pattern in bittersweet c1960s

I didn't think it could be IDed at all.
IDed in under an hour. Wow.

      Thanks, you two.

I would have snatched that piece up in a heartbeat. If you don't mind me asking, how much did this thrift store find cost you?

I was checking out when I turned around, waiting for the guy to make the total. I saw this on a low shelf and picked it up.
I think it was $3 and change.

Actually, I picked it up for resale. My mom then decided she liked it too much.
