Unknown told it was from a 1930's house of ill repute

The overall height of the lamp with shade is 50 inches.
The shade is 20" tall and 19" across
The lamp measures 31" from bottom of base to the light socket.

The body of the lamp is painted on the inside which has peeled in a couple places to reveal the clear glass.
My Mom who owns it was told it came from a house of ill repute somewhere around the 1930's.
